They are focused towards creating photographs that are more artistic in nature. Editorial sessions capture portraits with an aesthetic and offer an experience typically reserved for professional models and celebrities.

While I love all the work that my clients and I create together (including my simpler, more straightforward portrait sessions), I really thrive when I get to photograph my most inspired work. While editorial portraits will definitely look incredible on your social media feeds, this sort of artwork is truly at its most magnificent as a statement piece on your wall or in one of my iconic, luxe albums. When it comes to children’s editorial photography, we’re not just taking photos, we’re making magic. A day like this is usually something that only the top kid models get to experience in places like New York or LA, but with me, all children can make their dreams come true right here in the heart of Pittsburgh.
There are so many possibilities for what we can do with our time in the studio together: build sets, involve whimsical props, play with fantasy makeup, or even travel back in time with vintage styling! Is there a vision for your kids’ editorial portraits you already have in mind? If so, I’d love to bring it to life for you. If you want your kids to have this experience, but don’t have a concept in mind, you can leave it all up to me and my imagination and I can definitely take care of you! I have a million and one ideas bouncing around in my brain that we can pull from.

How long does an editorial portrait session usually last?
Editorial session are a minimum of four hours, but can go much longer depending on the age/threshold of the subject and the concept we're executing.
Can I have input on the styling and concept of the shoot?
Of course! I love incorporating things like children's interests and mom's decor aesthetic when planning out the editorial portrait sessions.
What is your favorite thing about this form of editorial photography?
I love getting to flex my creativity and offer my clients an experience that they truly can't receive anywhere else. For younger children, I love creating a whimsical shoot where their dreams are made reality. For older children and high school seniors, I love watching them transform into supermodels when everything comes together, and they get a big kick out of the more runway/avant garde styling that we ramp up to throughout the day.
